EDF Energy raises energy prices for second time this year
EDF Energy is raising its prices for dual fuel customers by 6% from August. The French-owned company says the price it pays for dual fuel on the wholesale market has risen 13% since April, when it last raised prices for customers. It imposed a 2.7% increase in electricity prices, which left dual fuel customers paying 1.4% more. EDF says customers on a dual fuel tariff will pay £70 a year more on average after the rise. It added that 60% of customers would not be affected.
