All you need to know about Friday's train strikes

Train drivers at two companies - LNER and Northern - and London Overground staff are staging walkouts in March. Train drivers at LNER and Northern who are members of the Aslef union are on strike for 24 hours from midnight on Friday 1 March. Rail passengers with advance tickets can be refunded fee-free if the train they are booked on is cancelled, delayed or rescheduled due to strikes. Train operators say ways of working need to change for wages to rise, because of financial challenges and fairness to taxpayers. Train drivers at Chiltern, c2c, East Midlands, Northern and TransPennine railways previously voted to continue strike action for six months.
